Subscribe to our channel, we’d really appreciate your support! ❤️⚒ We headed back to the Giant Copper Mine hoping to finish Level 15. We’ve explored this level before, but after we walked for a little over a kilometre we started to have equipment issues. When we got there we realized that the property was now in the process of being reclaimed and the mine owners were closing off the adits and tearing down the structures that were left. We removed enough rocks from the portal so we could squeeze down into the adit, but unfortunately about 50’ in, our gas monitor went off alerting us to low oxygen.

If you leave it open to breath for a while it may be worth checking in the future to see if the air quality has improved.

Don't be upset about them blocking it off though. Put yourself in their shoes they don't want the liability of an accident.

I’ve been in a simple underground dynamite storage dug in schist rock for a copper mine, I just bring a geiger counter and it was screaming, defenetely high radon, its surprising, not necessarily the little lack of oxygen because of rotten wood or steel, H2S from sulphide but also radon is incredibly high even not in uranium mine.

That looks incredibly similar to an abandoned mine we explored, lol! I had to watch your video a couple of times to see the differences!
