The progression of flexible, printable electronics is constrained by bulky and rigid batteries that consume critical space, weight and complex manufacturing. Ateios (‘ah-tay-ohs’) Inc has developed a platform technology based on a nanocomposite ink to develop the first, printable, stretchable battery. Ateios' innovation combined with inexpensive printing, this technology can aid in the weight reduction of NASA’s electronic systems by 100%, reduce manufacturing steps by 60%, and enable any surface with rechargeable energy. From conformal battery packs printed directly on to space suits to foldable battery box for storage, Ateios will empower humanity’s journey into the unknown.
