Can You Work While Receiving Social Security Benefits

I’m 56 years old and I was thinking about taking my Social Security at 62 years old and retiring but my wife is nine years younger than me and she is going to continue to work. My question is if I take Social Security at 62 are they gonna attack me because my wife is still bringing income in?

Do I get the money back that they take out at a later date?

My full retirement age is 66yrs 8mnths. I want to retire at 67. If I decide I want to hold off retiring, is it true, I can take retirement for 1 yr then return all payments back and carry on working till 70 and I will get the same higher benefit then as I will do today at 70

If you draw on your pension which was already taxed does that count as income

It’s kind of a Rip off for people that want the benefit of starting SS in the year the reach FRA….if your Birthday is Dec 31….BIG BENEFIT. If your Birthday of your FRA is Jan 1….no benefit. They should make the higher earnings limit “12 months before FRA” to be fair.
