Ciao, mi piace molto la tua nuova reazione! Amira aveva solo dieci anni al momento di questa esibizione in Maastricht, in Olanda. Cantava un aria di Puccini, il famoso compositore toscano, che è nato nel 1858 e morto nel 1924. Il brano è estratto del opera Gianni Schicchi, che anche si svolge a Firenze, nel Duecento.
Come hai detto, questa ragazza è ovviamente stupenda, possiede un dono innato per la musica lirica e una straordinaria voce cristallina, difficile da dimenticare. Adesso Amira ha 20 anni, studia la musica all'università di Pretoria nel Sudafrica, e continua a cantare con una estensione vocale sempre più importante, tra l'altro le più belle arie d'opera. Perciò sarebbe super se tu potessi commentare qualche altro video di Amira, per esempio la sua intepretazione del inno "Gesù Bambino", nel 2023...

She has sung, now, in a dozen or more languages and speaks 3 languages fluently. She is an absolutely incredible young woman. She also sang O Sole Mio with Patrizzio Buane.

Great reaction! Amira is a world-class soprano who sings operatic arias at the highest level of quality, following a four-century tradition of bel canto. Emma was a wannabe pop singer who sings pop songs. There is no possible comparison. When Amira stepped onto this stage at the age of 10, she was already world-famous and had a gold record with Sony Masterworks. Three DVD editions of this concert have already been released. Amira is already the most popular super soprano of all time.

Most of the plus 12, 000 people attending this incredible performance cried. Amira is a-mira-cle. She was 10 here and is now 20 and studying music at university in South Africa. Amira has performed many many beautiful and wonderful songs already and is loved by millions of people worldwide. Ten. Yes, Emma was on the same stage, 9-10 years later. Appreciated your kind response to my comments on Vantasia. When Amira was 13 she sang two arias at the Classics is Groot concert in South Africa, where she now lives), Nessun Dorma and the Flower Duet (with Corlea Botha). Also the hymn Amazing Grace. At 15 she sang the Sound of Music Medley. Last year (aged 19) she was invited back to the HGT stage where it all started, to sing in All Stars. I still find her audition on Holland Got Talent the most amazing moment. The reactions and her childlike modesty and the disbelief that she could do this without singing lessons

Yes, Amira was 10. The Aria is from Gianni Schicci (?) By Pucinni. I believe it is quite a well known piece. I am pleased to hear her italian assessed by a native speaker, as another opera singer reacting to this, pointed out that she forgot a word or two in the first verse and just made something up. Amira has tackled quite a few Italian opera pieces, so hopefully, you will notice some improvement as she has got older. Andre Rieu is from Maastricht and he has held an open air concert there each year for a long time. He is still holding them. This particular one was titled Love in Venice, and featured a number of italian themed songs. You can see the Bridge of Sighs reconstructed at the side of the stage too. He serms to be letting Amira dictate the pace of the song, and is pulling the orchestra along behind. They certainly had rehearsals and got it right. He had confidence in Amira too.
Back to languages. Amira can speak Dutch, Africaans, and English fluently, but has bern called upon to sing songs in many other languages. Obviously Italian. But also French, German, Spanish, Latin, Swedish and recently even Mandarin. She generally gets the thumbs up from those who know, for putting serious efforts in to getting them right.

Amira's father is Dutch, her mother is from South Africa. She is fluent in Dutch, Afrikaans, English. She has sung in 9 languages all by age 16. Dutch,  Afrikaans,  English,  Italian, German, Swedish, French, Spanish and Neapolitan. She recently sang in Latin at age 19.

Amira learns what the lyrics are so she can understand and express them in her singing . she was helped by her brother who spoke several languages . If he didn't know it he looked it up and Amira would learn it.

This concert took place in 2014. Emma performed in 2023. Amira was 10 years old at the time and is now 20.

You must please also review Amira singing "L'amore sei tu" when she was 18 years old. A modern song sung in opera style with nearly constant vibrato. Her voice is also much more powerful than at age 11.. I hope my Italian spelling and grammar is correct - I only took Italian as a subject at university for one year (1971) and never used it since.except for saying "bon giorno" and "come sta" a few times.
By the way you are a very beautiful young woman - Just a pity one cannot see your hair when you are wearing the cap.

She was 10 years old here . The concert with Emma Kok was many years later, same venue. Amira is older than Emma.

I do not think this is the same concert. Emma and Amira are about the same age. Amira was ten here. The concert with Emma performs Viola she was fifteen.
