‘Historic move’: How the US could become involved in the UK ‘s Commonwealth

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue discusses the potential for a “historic move” by President Donald Trump to push for the US to become an associate member of the Commonwealth.

“We know Donald Trump is a huge fan of the monarchy, however the way that legislation works in the US means the president can’t just decide everything,” Ms Krakue said.

“It will be quite a historic move though.”

The reason why the USA cant join the Commonwealth is because there is a Monarch thst is head of this group. Albeit, it is voluntary and would be good for trade, but the US Constitution forbids any sovereign of any kind being involved with our nation so for us it would be UnConstitutional.
