Mind-Blown, the way he explained how they were dong all of it was so impressive something straight out of a movie, Nvidia is really pushing the limits of human invention and engineering taking us further into the future, not only that, it has safety as one of its top priorities, by creating an environment in the future where in cars can interact with each other with the way they're doing things right now it is impossible to have accidents, imagine a blind curve with an intersection where in you can see there is a car approaching or entering the road, but your car already knows what lies ahead, and imagine all cars suddenly have a short message that they are moving towards the side of the road because there is an autonomous ambulance getting someone to the nearest hospital at the fastest possible speeds. now that's innovation.

This is the ultimate simulator. I can't imagine the processing power required from nvidia to even make this come true. There's just so much augmentation

This is probably the most interesting application of AR yet. My only hope is that the developers that elect to use this API with apply restraint and great sense of responsibility. It is one thing to have a miraculous AR experience as a passenger, but it could be a source of great distraction should a human be operating/navigating the vehicle.

Basically this is a UI to let you see what the car is seeing. The AR part is the big part though, even without autonomy that would be greatly helpful with navigation and object detection to make driving much safer.
