Ramadan in Malaysia

It’s Ramadan and we are spending it in a Muslim country for the first time. Malaysia has won our hearts for so many reasons, and we are creating new traditions here as a family. Ramadan in Malaysia is the best. Honestly i have just recently moved from Malaysia to canada, less then 6 months ago . And to tell you that, i have not felt like home in months, something about Malaysia is just home. I can't wait to go back and honestly i will. Its just a matter of time and soon inshallah i will. I have two Muslim friends who were in a musical with me this year, and during our tech week, which happened to be during Ramadan, the sun always set during our rehearsals, and we all always made sure to save snacks for them so that when the sun set they could break their fast and didn’t have to search around for food. But I remember one night in particular my one friend brought like this GIANT container of dates, and we all fasted with them that day and she shared those dates with literally everyone and we all hoarded a bunch of food so we could all have a little feast once the sun set and they could break their fast. It was honestly a really cool experience
