Marine Conservationist Highlights Shark Success Story in Eastern Indonesia

Sharks support the oceanic food web that supports us, the carbon cycle that stabilizes our climate, even our economies. Thanks to the support of donors, Conservation International has been working to bring them back. In the Bird's Head, CI and our partners helped establish Indonesia's first shark sanctuary and have helped build local patrol teams that enforce it. The reef sharks are not only returning to the area, but are thriving. Marine conservationist Laure Katz talks about CI’s progress in this region.
