After driving the 2024 Acura RDX, you begin to wonder why other automakers can't or won't produce fun-to-drive compact SUVS, because it's obviously possible to create one like this one from Acura. It's been rewarding driving the RDX and there are many things to love, but also there are few things that need to improve, such as the non-touch infotainment system. This is David's full Engineer's Review... watch the whole video to truly understand what's good - and not so good - about the Acura RDX.

2020 Acura RDX owner here, 130K miles and counting. No issues at all, I would say that keeping up to date with your maintenance schedule is a plus to keep this baby running like new.

I have a 2021 RDX with almost 90k miles and it's been perfect. Not a single problem. Great car.

Great review 👍! I love my 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec SH-AWD. The RDX is great in the snow. The SH-AWD is a blessing on heavy powder ski days.

2024 RDX checked all of the boxes for me. Very nice vehicle and I am enjoying it very much. One thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that it uses premium gas, which at over a dollar more per gallon can be a factor.

Awesome suv. It's not possible to have a perfect vehicle or perfect for everyone, so great there are many choices to get perfect for each person as my RDX is perfect for our family and happy with track pad in this and our tlx and mdx, we also like touch screen in our 2020 Accord and it's layout, but Trac pad is better especially on uneven roadways and no fingers print. Only time I wish have touch is typing, so Acura should offer both not listen to reviewers especially those that don't own or intend to own and live with products. Also, screen is big enough for us and we don't need a 40 inch TV infrastructure of us, we have all we need.

Acura makes some great vehicles. I have an Integra A Spec and it's a blast to drive with excellent driving dynamics and fuel efficient also.

I have 2021 RDX, tech with SH AWD. The car is reliable and great, I agree with your review. I might add beside the touch screen, type s, they need a hybrid as well.

I drove RDX and Mazda CX-90. I love the RDX handling, comfort, etc. However, I ended up with Mazda cx-90. The main reason was that Mazda is bigger and to me as an owner of two German Shepherds is more practical. Both cars have excellent handling, sporty appearance etc

Wonderful review...I have a 2018 RDX and taking over my wife's 2022 Aspec soon (she's getting a new car) -love the handling and reliability of the car and maintainence has been pretty low.

Good review. I would have liked to hear comparisons with the Genesis GV70.

I did not like the touchpad for about a day or so. But after 1 or 2 days, no problem.

The SIZE of the RDX is bigger than a Lexus NX. The back seat & cargo room. The SH-AWD is far superior to the Lexus NX for driving dynamics. The ELS sound system is also one of the best sound systems. The reason I prefer the RDX over the MDX is for fuel economy, a much manageable size to drive in the city & it’s driving pleasure. You feel more connected to the road. The current RDX size is similar in size of previous generations of the MDX. We know the Honda Type R engine is made in Ohio. What are you waiting for Acura? ❤

We have a 21 RDX and it’s a great vehicle. Awesome handling, and quite a bit of pick-up.

I love my RDX! It drives like a sports sedan, I am confident driving it aggressively at times. The TTI does not bother me in native operation although using CarPlay it is finicky

David, what are your thoughts regarding Acura and ironing out first production year issues specifically with regard to the 2024 Acura Integra Type S? Has enough time gone by for rolling changes, or is it best to wait till 2025 model year or even beyond?

I'm hopeful for the 2025 redesign. I love Lexus, but a similarly equipped RDX to a Lexus NX is $12k cheaper in Canada.
