Thank you for explaining Eid! I had never heard of it. I had just watched a short video on Youtube. Some Palestinian men in a stopped vehicle were speaking to a beautifully radiant young Palestinian girl standing in the street -- probably about 7 yrs old -- who could not stop smiling. They asked her about Eid and she answered in the negative. I did not understand the meaning - but was touched when they offered her some money. She at first refused. But one of the young men took her small plastic purse and put some cash in it -- then returned it to her. I was so touched but did not understand the significance until I searched and found this video explaining Eid. What an excellent custom!
