Cassey, my 14 year old JR was diagnosed by a specialist vet as having chronic bronchitis. We gave her bronchodilators, steroids, nebulizer her diuretics - but for a year she coughed and we were all sleep deprived. In desperation I decided to clean her teeth twice daily with coconut oil and gave her a dental chew every day. Immediately she started sleeping better. After 3 weeks she slept through 2 nights so we realized the problem was the BAD BACTERIA in her mouth. We took her for a scale & polish under anaesthetic and she is back to normal - NO COUGHING and NO NEED FOR MEDICATION. PLEASE BRUSH YOUR PETS TEETH!!!

Guys PLEASE have your dogs heart checked if they’re coughing all the time. It was the sign of my dog’s except she was misdiagnosed with collapsed trachea and when the heart disease was finally found it was late stage and she was having breathing issues near the end. It was horrific and financially ruining trying to save her and I miss her dearly. People think I am crazy for asking why they have human organ transplants but not for dogs? To me they’re just as important as humans, and in many cases more. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you so much! I’ve been going through this with my 1 yr old ACD and we’ve been down the testing xrays steroid route and then we were having recurrence every 6-8 weeks. I’ve finally started going down the holistic route and we haven’t had a flare up in 3months. You rock! 🐕👍

Nr 6, works fine. However when I stop giving it, the cough and throwing up of water returns.
I will try NAC
I also give anti coughing tea, herbs based, which has less sugar/ honey. It also helps, not as rapid as honey.
Wishing you all health and blessings.

Tula is so gentle. She is a wonderful assistant.

My 13y/o Havanese's internal medicine doctor was against the licorice root tincture. Said it can raise BP over time.
Is there a *DGL tincture for dogs so I can give her all the time?
*deglycyrrhizinated form

My dog was. FREE dog. She's seen at least 10 vets for her problems. She is an expensive FREE dog (worth every nickle). When I saved her, she saved me.

We are grateful for your help. 🐩

Thank you so much for this video and all of the tips! My dog gets bouts of bronchitis and sounds like there is mucus in his lungs due to Environmental Allergies. He's been on Theophylline for a while now, and I'll be adding this information as part of the treatment for him! Thx!!!

I have an Alaskan Malamute, 8 years old (9 on dob: January 6, 2015), 116 lbs. Can I give him all that stuff at the same time and what is the dosing amount for his body weight?

He has this cough for over 3 months. He has been through all traditional medications for kennel cough, steroids, broad spectrum meds. X-ray showed inflammation. Vet said this was normal in aging dogs?

I let pumpkins and corn grow in my yard this year as they came up wild. Allergy to the vines? I have since weeded all that stuff and mowed and raked leaves. I have multiple air purifiers (which help me too!) as of not so long ago. I swept and mopped floors? Still have issues cause he is part wooley (lots fur).

What do I do? He seems miserable. Weight loss? He is still eating and drinking okay. He tries to play but gives up easy. More walks? Thanks. I will take and consider any advice. Thank you.

My 14 year old chihuahua has a severe trachea collapse and some of this is helpful for him as well. He's also on prescription meds but I try to only use the bear minimum as I want him to live as long as possible with minimal side effects from those meds.

Another very timely post. Thank you! My English Bulldog, almost 9 years old, has had extensive lab work and x-rays. All unremarkable, including the thyroid panel. While x-rays did not show bronchitis, he clearly has congestion and secondarily, regurgatation. It appears he might have had aspiration pneumonia that cleared on it's own, but again, the x-rays were non-conclusive. He was treated with 10 days of amoxicillin and responded well but the congestion with cough to clear that funky palate of his lingers. I'm thinking rhinitis or sinusitis so I've started him on licorice root, butterbur, and NAC. I was already giving him CBD. I've already seen some improvement with the amount of phlegm production. The vet has suggested a tracheal wash to rule out megaesophagus is the next step. You can imagine my concerns of sedating a 9 year old brachycephalic dog and forcing fluid into his lungs. So, I'm going to give this a try. It will be much safer and he is not critically ill. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you. My dog has chronic bronchitis and is giving an inhaler nightly. He has a very runny nose. At your suggestion we give him honey 3x a day and it’s helped immensely. Ty. Not sure which other suggestions to apply. Dexter is a rescue 2 year old 15 lb mix from south Texas. We are in Connecticut. 1. What would be best to try next. 2. Can you send me your book?
