I really wish they would move the inauguration inside. I would worry less.

Please move the inauguration indoors ! There are trained snipers that can take a person out at a mile - do not give anyone a chance to take our government away from us!!!

I'm actually surprised that the question of whether to move the Inauguration inside is even on the table. I don't think it should be an outside event at all. Move it inside televising the event with few important people present. Why invite potential disaster?

That would be the best thing with only the required personnel.

Indoors only...
The nation deserves some joy and not one more traumatic event, God forbid.

Indoors would make the most sense—I just keep thinking about what they did to JFK!

At this danger time, I would agree doing indoor inauguration is the safest way because many of the most important people of the United States will participate as well. I hope the Biden team would seriously consider it.

It doesn't seem like outside is a great idea this year.

Can anyone explain to a European why Americans are so focused on precedent?
Is a safer alternative unacceptable if precedent doesn't allow it? I think the events of last week justify it, to talk about precedent...

at this point it seems reckless to have it outdoors. are they underestimating how many incited dangerous nuts there are out there? or does the security team know something we don't which is reassuring them?

It is incredibly stupid to hold the inauguration anywhere but virtually.

I don't think doing it inside will matter if they use the same 'police' that they did on January 6th

It's a sad day in America when we are having a conversation about whether a inauguration ceremony should be held in door because we are afraid of the President being harmed.

The police or whoever incharge of the security should be worried about the possibility of a sniper.
