Day 1 purchase for me, I'd love a lighter game set in the Warhammer fantasy universe! I will admit I was kind of hoping for a more grand scale game to match the Old World miniature game and the Total War Warhammer games. Dark powers lurking in the shadows, low power average folk adventurers, and gritty combat is still pretty close to WFRP. Something in the vein of the 2D20 Dune game that covers everything from mass combat to intrigue and sabotage with a light core resolution was my hope for something new.

I love Cubicle 7 and their Warhammer fantasy content. I could eat it all up. Thank you for the informative video about the old world game!

Any plans for a Nuln/Wissenland book? My own WFRP games take place in that vicinity

More importantly, what do we call it? WHFRP was Woof-rup. What do we call this?? WOWRG - Wow-Rog??

Sounds interesting - but I really have to see more of it to have an estimated opinion for this game🤔

Really looking forward to this! More about the mechanics please, and conversion to/from WFRP4e/2e/1e.

Very interesting - it sounds unlikely, but is there any chance that the Cathay setting or faction will be involved?

Looks good, but wondering if there’s going to be any type of special thing for the 40th anniversary for WFRP…. Maybe Core Rulebook v4.5 update…?

I'm relieved to hear that Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay still has years of content planned for it. Cubicle 7 did a superb job in fleshing out the world and making it feel like it's a living, breathing thing. I'm all for it and I hope it gets lots more content in the years to come.

I do have a question regarding Fantasy Roleplay though, a lot of the more recent books have implemented rules or changes that have altered what was listed in the core rulebook in some way. Might it be in the cards for the future for some sort of "consolidated" or "updated" rulebook that can spare players the hassle of going to and fro different books for specific rules?

Thank you for all the clarifications!

I'm very curious about this new setting but I'm heavily invested in WFRP for now. But I really like the idea of simpler mechanics. My big wish would be that the adventures from WFRP could be played with TOW system and vice versa depending on player preference/experience.

How rule crunchy will it be? I LOVE the setting of Warhammer, but I find 4th to have too many elements to keep track of.

I'm a WHtOW collector / painter / player and I used to own and play WHFRP 1st Ed. as a kid and I love thematic play so may pick these up for lore etc.

I'm curious about this new range, and happy to see the new rules coming. I trust Cubicle Seven to do a good job. But I remain a little cautious about the 'novelty' of the atmosphere being promoted, which seems to me to be identical to that of WFRP. WFRP already had a low fantasy atmosphere, with a hidden “enemy within”, chaos and skavens acting in secret. Players already had to uncover hidden conspiracies. So I don't see what's new about The Old World in this regard.

I wonder how the d10 system will impact Wounds, and if the enemies are going to be weak and basic as in wfrp or are they going to have multiple profiles (basic orc, orc warrior, orc boss etc)

Will we have any updates on more products for Soulbound than the two books that we have known about for some time now? The community is beginning to be concerned for the future of the game.

Chaos that scored major defeat recently and few hundred years before Karl Franz? Sounds like Magnus the Pious era. Death of 12th Everchosen Asavar Kull on the plains of Kislev City, victorious return of the united imperial armies that used the momentum and performed massive cleansing of the Empire from heretical filth.

I guess that's the time when Chaos was at it's weakest. And it would be indeed very interesting to play in that time frame.

I'm very excited to see where this goes! I believe there is a demand for a trimmed down narrative driven style of game for the old world, similar to wrath and glory, but I am apprehensive about several things.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay already involves itself heavily with the grim and gritty aspect of every day life in the world that was, where our protagonists are not grand heroes but rather average folk taking on what lurks in the shadows; I feel WFRP handles that quite nicely and would have preferred to have something grander in scale and theme, I've often found its easier for a system to scale down rather than up. I was hoping for a system that would deal with narrative large scale battles and political intrigue as I feel like there is something untapped within that space.

As other commentors have pointed out, I find the core premise for the game to be hyper focused and unnecessarily specific, it seems like this system enables one type of story to be told rather then many. The main question I have is what does this do differently from a narrative perspective that WFRP does not already do? I hope that consideration for different types of narratives and stories within the old world is given within the development of this game.

I am looking forward to seeing the mechanics of the system, I've found your team has been on a roll in the past decade from a mechanics perspective and I am excited to see what you guys have cooking for a more streamlined narrative experience. When it comes to Warhammer, I am always excited for what you guys put out and look forward to seeing more of this game.

Hmmm…Love wfrp, but I’m also very interested in this. Setting will only benefit from having more ways to interact. Gnomes in the core book? Asking for a friend

Thanks for the update team. I’m really looking forward to this. Can you tell us if players will be able to use the rules for Old World (or aspects of) in the WFRP 4e setting?

I guess a new game is nice but I like the Warhammer Fantasy Game already. I don’t really like the sound of the new rules system though I like the Old World setting. It feels like a Third Edition version attempt that I don’t think would be for me.
