The Most Inbred Family in the Entire World. I think this family takes the "inbred biscuit" for the most interbred family out there, certainly the most inbred family alive today.

The Colt Family in Australia, outside of Sydney suffer from genetic abnormalities, the result of FOUR GENERATIONS of inbreeding. In today's video, we will break down how and why the family is so inbred, including the person who is currently the Most Inbred Person in the World, alive today.

This is so freaking sad. What a tragedy to be born a girl in that family. It makes me wonder if the mothers cried whenever they gave birth to girls.

This is so involved that I genuinely couldn't initially parse some of what you said, I had to replay bits (edit: just to be clear, this has nothing to to with how you explained it, you explained the relationships as clearly and concisely as you always do). I was feeling a bit stupid until I realised that because it's not normal for someone's father to be their grandfather etc., my brain couldn't just automatically/subconsciously organise these people into a typical family tree or social network diagram like it normally would. They were breaking so many of the basic "rules" of familial relationships that I couldn't just see the family tree in my head, as I usually can. I actually had to think about it to picture it. Wow

Just a side note - there is no rabies in Australia so the dogs couldn’t have been ‘rabid’. We do have lyssa virus, which is in the same family as the rabies virus, but it’s only known to infect bats, horses and humans.

While I do agree that incestuous relationships can be confusing and can also become normalized, the idea of them not knowing it was wrong goes right out the window if the mom made the girls give birth at home so no one found out who fathered their children - I'd say that made it pretty clear they all knew it was messed up. They just got used to it

Holy cow.🙈 I DO have to note something though. IF this was just “normal behavior” and didn’t see anything wrong with it, why all the secrecy? Home births to no be discovered? Obviously, somebody somewhere knew this was wrong. Now, the poor girls raised this way probably had no clue. But SOMEBODY knew this wasn’t right.

I have two stories of inbreeding. First, I had a daughter in 94’, who is the only female ever in the world to live with her disorder. The geneticist asked myself and my husband if we were related in anyway. We are not. Later, we divorced and I found out his maternal grandparents were 1st cousins and married one another. I went on to remarry and his adopted niece was obviously handicapped. She is the product of a man molesting his 13 year old daughter and impregnating her. The mother is also her sister. The mother gave her up and moved away. We have now learned that the father/grandfather of my niece was released from jail. The part that I’m completely shocked with is the daughter let him come live with her, husband, and two daughters!

I actually felt bad seeing some of them in handcuffs… Considering they were already partly inbred, they probably weren’t the brightest bulb in the box, so if the parents said it was normal, they just went with it and didn’t have the mental capacity to figure out otherwise. That’s not their fault.
Tim, on the other hand… He was truly disgusting. He probably took the whole thing of his wife being raised to think incest is best as a free pass. Seriously?! Just because you know you can get away with it doesn’t mean you should, Tim… And it’s bad enough to make a baby with your own daughter, but to then make a baby with your granddaughter/daughter and have a great granddaughter/daughter?! What was WRONG with him?! What’s worse is that the behavior is now learned by all his descendants and you can’t unlearn that easily. I’m curious what they plan to do with them now? You can’t very well put them in prison if they truly didn’t understand it was wrong due to upbringing and isolation or just reduced mental capacity. That would be a crime in and of itself.

The Whittaker's are not all inbred. This Colt family is the worst. Despite legal action one of the mom's or aunties are still trying to get into contact with one of her sons. Even though the law ordered her to stay away from the kids.

Theoretically, how could someone become 50% inbred? Since you obviously can't breed with yourself, what sort of shenanigans could, in theory, lead to 50%? While unlikely to happen with people, I'm wondering if like, a community of barn cats might get that high at some point.

So I had never actually heard of the colt family until today.. but they were discovered around the time I was pregnant and living in Sydney and I remembered at one of the prenatal appointments the doctor asked me and my partner if there was any chance we were related.. I was so confused because he’s Filipino and I’m white, very obviously not related and she was like “sorry, I just have to ask everyone”

I still find it unusual but I guess these people might be the reason it was something medical professionals had to ask..
