“Transgressor”

We were all born
Of the world yet to be
More than just flesh
We are souls
In the image of Thee

And as we break
We begin to rebel
When we get older
Humilities harder to sell

(Chorus)
Wide is the entrance
And broad is the way
That leads to destruction
And robs you of days
Narrow is the gate
It’s hard to endure
The road to eternal life
Transgressor

Life has a way
Of escaping us all
Before we know it we wake
And it’s wasted away

It’s harder to see
When we make a bad call
A choice that determines
Where we stand in eternity

(Chorus)
Wide is the entrance
And broad is the way
That leads to destruction
And robs you of days
Narrow is the gate
It’s hard to endure
The road to eternal life
Transgressor

Stryper sounds better than ever! Michael's 15 second scream was legit!

There's not a single 80's hair band today that can match Stryper in terms of quality output after all these years. I mean, they just keep ascending, not resting on past successes, and have not only kept their sound, but have dramatically improved it, rather than degrading like so many other 80's bands. They are truly in a class by themselves now, and deserve a place in the Rock and Roll HOF along with the Heavy Metal HOF induction.

The fact that Michael Sweet can still belt out those screams like that after all these years is absolutely amazing.

Crazy that Michael's voice has held up this well for this long...what a blessing to be able to still praise God with a beautiful voice !!

Just. Wow! Stryper is like wine and cement - they get better and harder as time goes by! The music is jammin' but THAT VOICE! What a gift from God!

Man, Michael's vocals are just as epic now as they were 35 years ago! That scream is the ultimate.

I've always loved metal. I am a new Christian, I was baptized about a month ago. This was the first Stryper song I listened to. This music has changed my life completely. The energy, combined with the scripture (Isaiah 53:5) they have chosen as their motto, has helped me truly understand the suffering Jesus went to as he sacrificed himself for us. Before this, I still struggled with truly putting my faith in Jesus as I am a scientifically/analytically oriented person. But the energy of this music me helped me truly understand his pain and suffering, ultimately leading to me repenting, giving myself up and offering myself as a loyal servant to our lord and savior, and praying in tongues for the first time. Those high pitched multi-octave screams (0:15) shake me to the very core of my soul. This level of energy, in the purpose of exalting Jesus Christ, is a harmonic composition which in tandem with the word of God leads to the plasmification and deliverance of my soul. Unique, exceptional, wonderful. Thank you Stryper. Thank you Michael Sweet. God bless you all.

Damn. Stryper is still kicking some serious Christian rock and roll. After 41 years . Seriously excellent Christian rock and roll music indeed.

Killer song and killer video. What metal band gets heavier as it gets older? Stryper does!

I was raised in the 80's and have always heard of Stryper, but never gave a listen. I began to listen out of curiosity and WOW! I LOVE STRYPER. What amazing talent.

That heavy chugging breakdown with those guitars shredding and bass laying down earthquakes that register on the Richter scale!

Almost 40 years and I can't think of another band that can has a singer like this, and plays so tight. Amazing, God given talent that they didn't abuse.

To be honest this is the first song I've listened to by them. Better late to the party I guess but I'm glad I gave this a chance I've got a lot of songs to research and listen to now.
