I was about to make a mallet from store bought wood but then I saw your video and it’s a great idea. The funny thing is last week I was using a piece of a branch to hammer my axe when splitting wood. I’m just gonna scrape the bark off that branch and shape it for my hammer. Why didn’t I think of that sooner😂

when u use the long side of the wood for a mallet its actually called a maul
