Thank you so much for this, I am not sure if you still read these but I have a question regarding the costing method you use:

referring to 6:41

Wouldn't the cost be skewed if you divide the total cost of the department by one activity. e.g. $358, 000 / 70, 000 machine hours. wouldn't this assume that you spend $358, 000 on the machine hours when in reality that $358, 000 is spread between Direct Labour hours and machine hours.

when you use single plant wide rate, why you took both DLH and Machine hours ? i think its wrong. becase it will be undercosting or overcosting

just out of curiousity, what if I were to sum the DHL and MH of one of the departments and devide the overhead costs of said department by this combined cost driver?You have been a great help BTW thank you so much!
