If you're a future billionaire (like this channel frames you as), you probably don't need to worry about this.

I believe the biggest reason why the vast majority of our generation suffer financially and emotionally is because so many people live in the past (depressed), so many people live in the future (anxious) and only a small fraction of us is at true peace, living Now and in the moment. What do you think Alux?

I’m 44 and have nothing for retirement but that’s on me. I got 20 years to make a change but need to start now.

In 1964 we were told we would have to work to 75 until we could retire.
Retirement is not the goal.
Life is too short to work at a job you hate. Find your passion and choose life.
The rest will take care of itself.

Random fact

In 2005, Mark Zuckerberg unsuccessfully tried to sell Facebook for $75 million. Back then it was called The Facebook.

There are a few solutions:
- Move from big cities to small towns where expenses are a lot lower
- All through your life, take good, very good care of your health. Which will mean almost zero medical expenses in old age (Don't say this is impossible, I have see people in 70's 80's hale and hearty)
- Cut down on modern unnecessary gizmos, luxury brands etc Live a simple, meaninigful life
- Passive income, smart investing etc
- Last, don't (aspire to) live into very old age...being a burden on society, family and friends... Exit the game at the top.

I bought a duplex to live in one unit and rent out the other. The rent goes a long way to help pay the mortgage, leaving me with more for investments. It will be paid off by retirement age. It will be a nice supplement to my retirement getting rent every month. It helps to be a jack of all trades, doing all the repairs myself. Last year I put a new roof on myself. I did have to buy a lot of pizza for my friends to help 😄, but I saved a ton of money!

One of many plans is to build a self sufficient, off grid home for my retirement. That way I own the land and the home, have minimal costs for utilities, and can continue working into my old age with growing my own food as the hobby.
One way to retire is to save and invest, but another way that people don't think about is lowering your cost of living as well.

Short story: my friend's dad had no high school diploma. He got a job at a car manufacturer though. He retired as a manager, who bought a $700, 000 home. His son has a college degree and makes $20, 000 yearly salary.
