The war hammer is an awesome weapon for pve. I heavy attack, stun, light attack, flat, double mighty gavel.

In wars, the hammer is definitely S tier, hands down. A well-placed path of destiny changes tides.

"firestaff is b tier" - shows missing pillars and playing with meteor build
"frostgauntlet is b tier" - shows pylon build

cmon vulkan, you could do better than that :D

Fire staff and Ice gauntlet are like A or S tier in war. I see mages get over a million damage in war.

I feel the Firestaff is pretty well placed in B tier. It has high damage output. But several of the firestaff skills are buggy. Pillars sometimes go off at your feet without letting you aim the distance. Fireball will (often enough) go completely through your target, unless you aim for the ground where your target is at, making the last perk in it's tree a gamble. And the AoE was nerfed some time ago because people complained about Firemages coordinating AoE so the damage was reduced to almost nothing (even our burns do more damage than meteors? What?)

I love my firestaff. It's a lot of fun to use. But hatchet users should take note and be pretty worried about any upcoming adjustments, if the Firestaff is anything to go by.

Level 42 here, so in my experience I feel the hammer should be an A tier, the crowd control abilities it has pairs really well with following heavy attacks, I don’t use 1 tree on it as it limits its utility, I do a mixture of both to reap benefits from both trees. With the hammer I’ve been able to take down players 20 levels above me as well as monsters 5-12 levels above me. When I was lvl 24 I’ve taken down 45’s it all depends on the player I guess. I use this with heavy armor and a hatchet and put more points in strength and const. the Grit also helps landing heavy attacks

They totally threw the WH under the bus. I'm a WH main and I want justice for WH. I don't see no other weapon do massive damage like WH. I'm level 40 doing average of 1000 to 3000 damage heavy hit and around 3000 when all conditions are met.

The biggest set back the rapier has is the shortest range out of any weapons you can be standing on someone and they can walk out of your hit box also 0 tracking unlike the greataxe which has absurdly broken tracking

I've had a really great time with fire staff, and see it doing a good bit more damage than your footage! I've been rocking full int on attributes and gear, and can typically auto attack for 500-700 at level 25. Add some pillars of fire that can crit for 800-1000 and we're in business. Feels really strong for glass cannon & ranged pressure in fights.

Can't really say that i agree with this list, being the reason mostly that this list should not be about a single weapon effectiveness, this can be misleading, i would prefer a Combo Tier List, i mean Rapier as an "A" weapon and Ice Gauntlet as a "B" weapon, i can see that each of them alone are not the best, but pairing them is a whole new story, i also feel that some weapons are made to be a powerful Off-Weapon

I main great axe and warhammer and they are on the same level. I just switch them to counter enemy resistances.

I'm surprised I didn't see anyone mention Spear with War Hammer. Ridiculous CC potential. Much harder to dodge or block those heavy hammer hits when you get skewered with spear first. And in PVE it's not as high for raw DPS as some combos, but you have so much control over engagements it's almost silly. Good times!

I really want a passive or something for the sword master tree that makes it where you have a slight damage buff if you're not using a shield. So then there is a ohs option that's still a little more aoe

Ice gauntlet is nutty dmg and AOE cc when used in combo. S tier for sure. It's a burst weapon then switch to a main. Fire staff ice gauntlet is beast.

Warhammer is obviously not the best at dealing damage but you dont really need two weapons that are extremely good damage dealers because technically you can only use one at a time so if you use your secondary weapon more like a utility tool to buff up your main weapon the warhammer instantly becomes a lot better since it can stun people and break their armor making them take 15% more damage so you can delete them with your primary (also it scales with strength so its pretty good with the great axe)

Spear/bow combo is S tier imo. The range and knockdowns are so good. I always beat people in pvp.
