3:50 for anyone wondering that’s called a run off ramp when a a vehicle (mainly trucks) are in the mountains and their breaks give out or overheat from the steep 3.5-7.5 decent they often use these to stop them selfs instead of causing a crash

Unbelievable! Some of these fails must have cost a fortune. It's crazy to see how a small mistake can lead to such massive losses. Definitely a hard lesson learned for those involved

Some mistakes cost a few bucks… these mistakes require a whole new bank account.

Well, that escalated quickly! When heavy machinery meets a bad decision, you get this kind of chaos. Hope everyone walked away from this one!

Somewhere, an insurance company just felt a disturbance in the force 😂

What I really love about these crane failures, that even though they are made of raw steel, they drape, like beautifull dresses. 🤔😰😥

Excavator hill decent was intentionally done that way. Not a failure, but good job

3:52 For those who are wondering, a "runaway truck ramp" is a special type of escape lane built on steep mountain roads (with a gradient of around 3.5–7.5 degrees). It's designed for situations where a vehicle—usually a truck—loses its brakes or when the brakes overheat. Instead of continuing downhill and risking a serious accident, drivers can steer into these ramps to safely bring the vehicle to a stop.

I love, love, love how every time we see an actual crane failure, its almost always because they went wit the cheapest budget crane they could use for the job, or it was using the least amount of straps/chains that they could possibly use to lift and move the load!

ARC furnace for steel was acting completely NORMAL. NOT a fail

0:29 That was not a demolition of an OLD hotel. That was a new hotel under construction where someone screwed up big time and killed multiple construction workers.

So... that first video of the cranes falling isn't the demolition of an 'old hotel'. That was the Hard Rock Hotel in New Orleans that collapsed in 2019 during construction and killed a few people. I don't mind narration on compilations, but at least get the info right, especially if people died in a tragedy.

Agricultural tractors are not generally designed for towing.
To tow stuff, you need to connect torsion bars from the trailer to the _front_ of the tractor to stop them rotating on the back axle.

I didn’t know watching money disappear this fast could be so painful.

it baffles me how people can manage to point the camera everywhere BUT the action

The world will never learn that cranes are an expensive failure. Try using the RIGHT sized crane for the job.
