UK election: Johnson and Corbyn promise more money for Wales

The Conservatives and Labour have both promised to spend more money in Wales.

At the launch of his Welsh manifesto today Boris Johnson promised to "unleash a tide of investment". Labour's manifesto - also published today - offers a £3.5bn increase in Wales's budget. This evening an opinion poll shows Labour six points ahead of the Conservatives. That could still mean they lose some seats to the Tories. One of the main battle grounds is North East Wales. I’ve been there to see how the campaign is going.

Whenever they go out into the street to ask for opinions they only ever go to the older people. Can we hear more perspective from the younger generations?

Brexit will destroy farming and manufacturing in Wales . The Welsh NFU says so so does the Welsh CBI

I don’t understand how Labour can be blamed for anything, last time I checked the Tories have been in power for a decade now.

The farming communities throughout the UK need to think very carefully before voting for Brexit.

Absolute nonsense from the 3 Labour Party are offering an improved withdrawal deal, or remain, plus a vision for the UK infinitely better than the lame Tory manifesto.

YOUNG PEOPLE: Our relative income has fallen, we can't afford houses, councils and critical services are starved of money and we're killing the planet.
BORIS JOHNSON: I hear you. I'll reduce taxes for boomer pensioners. 👍
YOUNG PEOPLE: Wait, what?

Voter apathy will give us 5 more years of the Tories. By then, the NHS will have been dismembered, US healthcare companies will run the show and you'll be paying insurance companies a nice fat fee for cover, which will actually cover very little. More people will be denied benefits by private companies and more people will end up on the streets or in temporary housing. The death rates will rise and the infant mortality rates will no doubt increase. What we have now is Tory Britain, the working man has been buggered since 1979, first by Thatcher (spit) and then by Blair who was more Tory than Labour. It's time to sell up and emigrate, the establishment and the banksters have almost finished the job of raping the working mans there are going to be fewer crumbs in the next few years, get out now.

You have to laugh at the Tories they are still accusing the SNP of trying to break up Britain isn't that what they have done to Europe

One thing I dont get is how is taking the middle ground all of a sudden a bad thing? You have refs and umpires in sports that all have to take the middle ground to keep things fair this is exactly what Jeremy is doing is trying to take a middle ground to get the best deal and put that to the people

Did someone tell Johnson that 'Wurloo Baloo' was Welsh? This election should not be about Brexit, it should be about ending austerity and stabilising the economy. Let's start there.

How can anyone vote Tory after the last ten years? Remember the good old days of Post offices, functioning schools & hospitals and no fucking Brexit!!!
