Profitis Elias Reawakening

Profitis Elias is probably the most difficult church to access in Kythera.

In July 2011 a team of volunteers cut a path through difficult terrain, reopening access to this mountain-top church near the airport. The church was white-washed and a service held by Kythera's Metropoliti, Bishop Seraphim.

This effectively brought life back to the forgotten Profitis Elias church.
