Kershaw Blur Liner Lock Failure Test

After hearing about liner locks failing, I wanted to see for myself and put my Kershaw Blur #1670BLK to the test. Spoiler alert: the liner lock failed 1x out of 9 solid strikes to the blade's spine. While this may be a deal breaker to some, keep in mind that even under semi-extreme use, the likelihood of anyone banging the knife's spine hard enough for the lock to fail is slime to none. I'd should also add that my Kershaw Blur has been my work EDC folder that I carried for the past 10 years and even under demanding conditions, it's never failed.
