How Childe is still functioning after doing all this in Foul Legacy is astonishing. We already know the risks of overusing it and he’s been stuck in that form for who knows how long. What a legend.

My respect for Childe skyrocketed after this mission.
The guy was fighting a cosmic whale alone this whole time without his Vision, and if it weren't for him, it would have escaped much sooner and probably devoured half the city before anyone could stop it.

I like the tiny details in this scene. While Childe is attacking the whale up its body, Neuvillette was throwing water orbs around too. It was an ongoing battle for both of them and Childe is just awesome, as usual.

The best part of Childe's fighting style is how he always adapts and improve, if you look closely when he first appears you can see him kick his spear in a way similar to zhongli, he always improves after his travels

Neuvillette having been portrayed as one of the most powerful character before this point already, but then seeing the whale straight up smashing his protection with ease was crazy. Now put that into relation with how long Childe fought that thing alone, and you can easily see why Neuvi had to interrupt Childe's Foul Legacy transformation.

I love that Childe went from nearly drowning a nation with a sea monster to helping to save a nation from a sea monster. Character arc?

I didn’t think I would love seeing Childe and Neuvillette fight together as much as I did, but that was a quick and awesome tag team 💥

Childe is just living his life as Mr. Worldwide, now he also transcended to travel to the stars and abyss. My dude is just getting cooler as the story progresses, and if he actually died further on like the rumours I’m gonna revolt.

Do keep in mind that Childe was fighting this thing for over a month by HIMSELF while we were serving our sentence in the Fortress of Meropide for stealing Furina's exclusive cake.

Edit: I still believe that Childe's vision would have reduced the strain he gets from overusing his Foul Legacy by a large margin.

Furthermore, Furina's story quest kind of solidifies that Archons almost have nothing to do with the distribution of Visions. So that still leaves a question unanswered- why did Childe's vision turn off in Fontaine?

Fun Fact:

The Traveller was in the Fortress of Meriople for 45 days as per their sentence to investigate Childe Disapperance.

This means Childe was fighting that whale for more than 45 days aka more than a Month. 😅

Remember that the only reward for childe for having restrained the narwhal is to be thrown out like a mess by his master and not to be respected by arlecchino.

He really didn't find any justice in Fontaine
