The ABB ACS550 standard drive is simple to select, install, configure and use, saving considerable time. The drive has common user and process interface with fieldbus, common software tools for sizing, commissioning, maintenance, and common spare parts. Typical applications include pump, fan and constant torque use, such as conveyors.

Sure. You can set the macro to ABB standard (parameter 9902 - also the default). Then connect the pot to pins 2, 3, and 4 with the wiper being on 2. Make sure you close the start/stop on pin 13 (digital input 1). Now switch the keypad from local to remote and the speed pot should work.

And I use ABB ACH 550's and this tutorial helped me operate some cooling tower fans in Local/Manual mode just now, saving our 2ndary chiller plant in our building where I work as an Engineer. And I now look like a God at work. Thank you! My point? She teaches well and that too is hot.

thanks alot for your reply, there was no fault showing, I figured that this is a matter of relay output stting and I was right, I just change parameter 1403 in group 14 from 3 to 4 which activate the relay output only in case of fault instead of been on by default.... thanks alot again for your support, you are the best

How to prereset the command speed function to be at 0 everytime the drive switched on? I had a problem that my drive preset at 50hz everytime.

Mine always shows €0.10 /day. What does that account for? And why isn’t it in USD?

Is that how much it should cost me a day? Also how do you calculate it? I see in settings I can change the value to what ever I want.

Go to Parameter 1604 “FAULT RESET SEL”.  This will allow you to select a digital input that can be used for external fault reset.

Since a VFD converts AC into DC and then inverts the DC into a variable voltage and frequency AC, switching two of the input wires has no effect on the output. You need to switch two of the output wires from the VFD to the motor in order to reverse motor direction. Let me know if this helps. Good luck getting lazy ABB Prime donna tech support to help you. They always gave me the run around. Would ask " Why do you want to know that ". Found Danfoss& Allen Bradley to be best in class.
