Torch mode puts a white haze on the Bravia 7. There should be viewing rooms to do comparisons, turn down the brightness and set dimming to medium.

I bought OLED and feel like its too dim. I have to turn it to vivid to get any light. The standard setting feels like the minimum brightness I could stand without going nuts. I'm taking it back and getting the Bravia 9 so i can have *close* to an OLED in color/contrast and still keep brightness options.

Sony is the biggest SCAM in world. Individually it looks great, when compared to LG its inferior. Used to boast highly about x90L, until compared to QNED 83 in showroom, played The Panther dark scene on both TV placed side by side and bought LG home.

Put the OLED up against a Bravia 9...that's a Bravia 7 is an entry-level television.
