I can certainly see how that might be a cultural practice. But I don’t think it’s laid out in the instructions. I just washed feet tonight and found it very meaningful without kissing their feet!😂 if I would’ve kissed her feet I would have thought that people would be uncomfortable with that and thought I was quite weird in my more Germanic and Irish culture

That is very beautiful and in imitation of Christ. However, I don’t think Christ kissed the feet of his disciples and I don’t see where that’s a part of that action within the holy Thursday liturgy. I would happily stand as corrected if someone could point that out to me where it says we need to kiss the feet or even have the option of kissing the feet.
