Samsonite Essens - Designed to matter. Made to last.

In the run-up to earth day 🍃 we are proud to reveal our latest Essens collection. This new collection is the brand’s most sustainable suitcase yet. The shells are made with at least 70% recycled polypropylene from post-consumer waste and the interior lining and webbing are made with resp. 97% and 100% rPET, both part of Samsonite’s Recyclex Material Technology initiative.

What makes the Essens collection so unique? It embodies a more sustainable approach from start to finish, from its conception to its afterlife. The innovative and exclusive recycled polypropylene is made in close partnership with QCP - Quality Circular Polymers, the high standard plastics recycling joint venture of Veolia and LyondellBasell.

Furthermore, green electricity is used to create the suitcase shells and assemble the final product. Another fact that truly sets this suitcase apart is its ease of repairability. In the unlikely event that your suitcase needs to be repaired, the Essens collection boasts a self-repairability design for most of its parts. The wheels, for example, can be easily disassembled and replaced with just one click and without the need for specific tools. This significantly extends the lifespan of your Essens suitcase.
