The UK's biggest parrot sanctuary is home to over 1,000 birds. And some have learned coarse language from their former owners. That is drawing visitors from across the world.

The video is not useful if they are censored.

My mum has a parrot and he learned my son's cry as a baby. My son is now 32 years old and I get to hear him crying via that bird every time I go to my mum's house!

The whole purpose of this video was lost when they added censorship on the birds voices!!! 😂😂😂

As a child, my wife had a pet magpie called Peter. She had inherited him from an old sailor who used to live next door. Peter could talk fluently, but only in obscenities. Some visitors came more often, just to hear him swear - but others tended to visit less.

I am offended when the caption of the video states cursing parrots and nothing can be heard….why bother to post this.

a little over a century ago a friend of my grandmother's adopted a parrot. she was the wife of the local anglican vicar and unbeknownst to her the bird had been raised in a house of ill repute. not only did it have a vocabulary that would put these birds to shame but also price lists with descriptions that it loved to announce whenever there were guests in the house including the visiting bishop.

That's not surprising for Britain though. My parents are British, and I'd already learnt every swear word under the sun from my mother by the time I was 5 years old. She swore like a sailor.

In a Lisbon tavern in the early 90's the owner had a parrot at the entrance, those places always had older guys drinking cheap wine, when a drunk left, the parrot would ask 'have you paid? have you paid?'.

Considering they’re rescues, they couldve heard some bad stuff from abusive homes. So I’m glad they can find humor in it all and be happy now.

What's up with censoring the parrots?! We don't got no one in the comment section under 18, do we?

I’m British and my first experience of the c word was when my dads phone was ringing and he had his friend saved as ‘c**t breath’. I went to school and asked my year 3 teacher what c**t means. Happy days.

If you censor the content, there is no content. 👎 You could put a "Warning Label" on the video and still show it, unedited.

These convivial birds are the answer to the riddle: "What is both fowl and foul?"
