I worked 25 years in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Most inmates at this level of criminality are gang members who have done despicable acts, normally, in the name of "this is the business we're in." But in my estimation, about 10 to 15 percent of the murderers I came across were exceptionally bright, well mannered, and educated individuals who clearly had other options available to them. At the root of their behavior was an excessive sense of narcissism. In private conversations those who found Faith would say to me, essentially, "I can't believe what I have done that put me in this place." One inmate I knew who was a former UC San Diego mathematician, regularly, used to quote a favorite INXS song by saying to me, "You know Big Dog, 'Every single on of us is the Devil Inside.'" Since meeting him 30 years ago, I have developed a keener understanding of human behavior--and it has served me well. Thanks for reading.

What people dont realize is not every murderer has a bad record or history of violence. They can go to church religiously (BTK) or work for a suicide hotline (Ted Bundy) or they can seem like the best person among the public but behind close doors is another story! Big Will is an absolute angel on earth. We need more people like that. 😊❤
