It was sorted in color order in the material categories though. When it comes to making prints, material is way more important then color. Still cool though.

I actually really liked the idea of having it sorted by material type! You could still do the rainbow color order for each type, I have to say I love the little secret addition to the knew one!

potentially cool idea: you have it so that it's sorted by color overall, but you create a sort of lever mechanism that lifts by materials

Maybe do both? The color sorted one for asthetics and the material sorted one for daily use because it is more useful and you dont have to search an eternity for the right material

IMO this can be improved with a radial lifter mechanism that is linked to different buttons in the center, one for each material type. Press down the ABS button, and the corresponding swatches pop up.

I think u should just make more filament swatches and sort them by material, so you have filament swatches sorted by color AND filament swatches sorted by material

I don’t 3d print but a nice compromise would be to do by material and then the materials by color (say you have 1 type with several colors, put those in order) (sorry if that sounds confusing lol)
