As a lifelong Ghostbusters fan (it’s the first movie I remember watching as a toddler), I thought I wanted to just see the original guys on screen again, and have them pass the torch to the new generation. But what I didn’t know I “needed” and Jason Reitman brilliantly gave us was closure on the loss of Harold Ramis and Egon Spengler.

I honestly didn't think at first I would like the movie with it having children as the main character Focus, but I was pleasantly proven wrong. I love this movie The Nostalgia was done perfect and hope to see more

0:53 if you pretend you never saw Afterlife, it almost looks like a Making Of for a sequel starring the original cast. Hope to see more of Dana, Peter, Ray, and Winston in the next one. RIP Harold Ramis our Egon

Afterlife was a beautiful tribute to Harold Ramis. I love how the ending was kind of 'final', but still leaves the door open for more movies in the future. So emotional, and definitely worth the wait. ❤🚫👻

Annie Potts is right. The movie is absolutely a valentine to his dad. Same with the fans. Yes, it’s fan service, but it helps for everyone to see the characters again and have some kind of proper closure to move on to bigger and better adventures with the new Ghostbusters.

Ghostbusters Afterlife really saved the franchise in my opinion and even opens it up for more on a more positive note than the disaster that was Ghostbusters 2016.
