CHINATOWN & LITTLE INDIA Food Hunting In Yangon, Myanmar

Really hate that I lost such a massive portion of the video, but I guess it is what it is!

However, I am grateful that I still get to show you all the Little India and Chinatown portions of this video!!

Knowing there is a huge influence from Thailand, India, and China had me really fired up to finally get to visit Myanmar!

While it may have many influences, Burmese cuisine, is still unlike anything I have tried before. Taking all these influences and creating something so unique and truly their own.

From samosas in Little India to unique Baozi in Chinatown and delicious sweet treats in each, I really enjoyed this Yangon food tour and my first ever experience in Myanmar!

Definitely a place to get back to soon and do some more food exploration.

People who say Burmese foods are not good are those who didn’t do their research properly. Can’t just walk around and eat at any restaurant you see at road side. We have lots and lots of awesome foods from different parts of our country and different ethic groups. In Yangon, you can find almost all the foods traditional and international. If you want more authentic foods, can travel up to mandalay, Kalaw (Shan), Kachin and others. Weather and scenery there are better too. Even locals find it difficult to choose what to eat because there’re too many. Thanks a lot to Max for showcasing our foods and enjoying them.

Too bad about the lost footage. Glad to experience what you do have. Burmese food looks delicious with all it's various influences. Beer looked surprisingly cold, big difference from neighboring Thailand 👍💯

Sorry to hear that your video memory card got damaged. Hope that you tried Chinese Kyay-oh in Rangoon China Town. Yep, those steam soups are damn good (little bit salty for my taste) but peck with flavor. I missed late nights street foods in Rangoon.
