I think the back being that way is fine. The front side is the most important side anyway, and most people are gonna have this displayed in a way where the back wouldn't be visible.

Exclusive figs are a double-edged sword. One the one hand, I like the exclusive variant, but they can be annoying to collect. I would have liked to have seen Cap's Stealth Suit and hope one day we'll get that fig.

It's a neat one off build, and for the price, and size should really include a handle to wield it in cosplay fashion. That and I'd be curious to see how well a shield comprise of mostly technic/plates would hold against the Thor's hammer, I feel it would be spectacular considering the heft behind that build.

Imagine how cool it would have been to put a First Avenger figure in this set and made it exclusive. That would be a big selling point to go with the set.

I actually really like this set. The repetitive build doesn’t bother me, I don’t think it even really needs a minifigure, and it’s not really meant to be played with so no handle is fine by me. The only annoying thing is the price as you said. I’ll pick this up, but I’ll have to wait a while I think.

I would love for lego fans to find a way to measure the volume of the parts included in the sets, so we can start using price by volume instead of price by piece. It would be a lot more accurate, because it would tell you how much plastic you're getting, not just how many pieces, since we all know a 1x1 brick is not the same value piece as one of these plane cockpits, or even something like the large plates that make up the front of this shield.

They probably should have used metallic, glossy or matte finish smooth non studded pieces for the front.

The Set Looks Nice. Thor's Hammer That Captain America Has, Is From Endgame When He Uses That Weapon As Well

1. The plate should say "captain america's shield", not just "captain america"
2. The figurine is placed there rather awkwardly
3. What is Mjolnir doing in the set? When captain america had the hammer the shield was almost half destroyed. It doesn't quite fit

The back actually doesn't bother me. Sure I wish it comes with a handle but it's not really distracting since the front is the main focus of the set. So if you display this set where the back isn't visible then it won't be a big deal.
