Apologies for some of the mispronunciations, it was an oversight while doing my research. It was also difficult to find some of the names being said so I just did my best. First video growing pains. I plan to do better in the future.

The Oakland A's of 1972-1974 are my all time favorite baseball team.

Vegas native here, glad to have the A's coming to our city. I remember it being rumored that they would be las vegas's first professional sports team about a decade ago. Now they're our 5th

The A's history reminds me a lot of the history of Williams in F1

Despite not playing in Philadelphia in over 70 years, the Philadelphia A’s still have more championships than the a Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia 76ers, and Philadelphia Flyers. Team should have never left and should have been sold to Milton Hersey!

Nice to remember. Thanks for sharing. I lived in Sacramento for a while and drove over to Oakland several times during the late 80's. Ohhh do I remember.

The Oakland A's Will Always Be My #1 Favorite Baseball Team In The Bay Area ( It's A Tie Giants With The Giants )
I Remember Going To A Double Header 4th Of July Weekend In 1993 & Ricky Henderson Hitting A Lead Off HR In Both Games.

Greatest and most successful team in the American League Western Division during their tenure in Oakland. 17 first place finishes, 6 American League Pennants, 4 World Championships. Only to be destroyed by Fisher & Kaval

I think the biggest joke in baseball is people thinking that Rickey Henderson didn't take steroids haha not just the fact that the dude was fucking jacked and lean and was so well into his 40s. But he got a lot bigger rather quickly in New York and then shocking to no one, when he went to the Athletics for the second time he was playing with canseco and McGuire and managed to hit his career high in home runs. With 28. As a leadoff hitter lmao. The dude was right in the middle of the steroid era and was right in the middle of a team that is notorious for the steroid era and was Jacked as hell and hitting almost as many home runs as the power hitters lmao. Rickey Henderson is amazing and I loved every second of watching him play but anyone who thinks that that dude was not a walking pharmacy has no clue. Steroids come in many different varieties and have many different uses. My buddy has been on steroids for the last fifteen years and he hasn't gotten any bigger in the last five. He uses them to maintain a phenomenal physique. Another buddy of mine is 165 lb on steroids. You don't always have to be huge you can be fat and on steroids you can be tiny and on steroids you can be jacked and on steroids. But Rickey Henderson i promise you was on them. And he's definitely not alone in the Hall of Fame. I wish you would admit it so we can finally put the best players of all-time like bonds in the Hall of Fame where he belongs. David Ortiz in the Hall of Fame and he tested positive for steroids. Rickey Henderson retired before they started testing but Jose canseco definitely hinted at him being one of them and he was pretty honest about who was taking them. Andb even without canseco it's so obvious just from looking at Ricky.

Did I miss someone. Man, campy Bert campaneris. He's the only player to play all 9 innings. Not to mention he was a champion, yes this maybe should have been position players so you could get most. But campy has to be on that list

15:33 I actually give him credit on this one. We are all human. You don’t need a private box to enjoy the game.
