On all R.Fripp’s early recordings he used the ‘natural’ sustain power of his 3 pick up Les Paul guitar and amplifier to create the legato sound plus of course his ‘Frippertronics’ (one reel to reel machine connected to a 2nd machine by a physical tape ‘loop’ was much ‘earlier’ than the commercial release of the Energy-Bow (E-Bow)
