Another reason is to increase the liquidity by making participation higher, , if price is too high liquidity dries up fast

a couple years late to the question, but, reverse stock splits - do they ever I seem to notice they eventually drop lower and input..? (i've lost a few times on these, hence my question)

I own Exxon-Mobil, while not a sexy stock it pays me a huge dividend, since my average share price is $40. So I'm getting about a 8% return. I can't remember how many times its has split in the last 20-years and yes, it doesn't change the valve, it just makes it more affordable.
