The mariachi band dudes are SO multi-talented! But coupled with Voctave is pure magic!! The Spanish singing is so pure and beautiful. The tenor and alto duet is sweet and spot on!! 👌 Love it!! ❤️

My mom passed two months ago. She loved the songs from Coco and would sing them with me all time. Listening to this definitely brought a few tears to my eyes, but in a good way. Thank you, voctave, for another masterful cover.
And to my mom... I'll always remember you, mom. I'll remember how you used to dance and sing. How you held me when I was sad. How you laughed. I love you so much and miss you every day. Until I'm in your arms again, mom. I love you.

The man in blue is the conductor, one of the main vocalist, and a trumpet player... What can't he do???

When the Spanish version came, I shed a tear. It was a manly tear.

Okay. Yes I will fully admit I'm crying. Now I have to go watch Coco.

Kate Lott with her hand on her hips at 3:16 hitting the high notes like it was nothing. Her voice is just breathtaking to me.

Is it just me or is Voctave the group with the most authentic and genuine people in the entertainment industry? #talent #entertainment

Extremely hard listening to this. I lost my father a few years after this movie came out. Went to the theaters to watch this with my family for my little sisters birthday. I wasn’t excited not knowing what the movie was about. Walked out with the entire family including myself balling our eyes out. Us being a part of the latin community and my father being a guitar player his whole life we felt this on a personal level. To have one more opportunity to see him and hear his beautiful voice sing while he plays the guitar is my one wish in life. I fought back the tears listening to this amazing rendition. Thank you for this and my heart goes out to ANYONE that had lost someone they love. Never forget.

Lyrics for the spanish part at the end

Recuerdame
Hoy me tengo que ir mi amor
Recuerdame
No llores por favor
Te llevo en mi corazon y cerca me tendras
A solas yo te cantare sonando en regresar
Recuerdame
Aunque tenga que emigrar
Recuerdame
Si mi guitarra oyes llorar
Ella con su triste canto te acompanara
Hasta que en mis brazos tu estes
Remember me
Remember me
Recuerdame

That was nice. It reminded me of some movies from the 50's.

I like that you did both versions: the upbeat one and the slower sad one. It's so brilliant that one song can convey two very different moods like that!

Is this the most beautiful thing I've heard today? Yes.
Am I bawling like a child? Yes.
Will I listen to this on repeat for at least forever? Yes.

If you excuse me now, I need a tissue.

I have listened to this at least 30x on loop while working. It is so indescribably beautiful! Tugs at your heartstrings, packs a punch of nostalgia, and somehow fuses classic mariachi + classic choir sounds, filling your soul to the absolute brim.

Some of my favourite moments:

0:03 - the first 'Remember Me'; such a rich and classic timbre!
1:04 - when the Voctave women come in; the transition is seamless and breathtaking in its control.
1:42 - gorgeous bass note.
1:56 - when the choir momentarily kicks in, before holding back, and then...
2:02 - the soloist (Drew Ochoa) crescendos into this high note so yearning and pleading, it sends a river of some crazy emotion rushing through you.
2:11 - super emotional and quiet 'Remember me'. I also love the collaborative symbolism here; Mariachi Cobre sang 'Remember me' in English at the start; Voctave comes in next with the Spanish 'Recuerdame'.
2:37 - cheeky little contrast between the military pose of the guy in white and expressiveness of the guy in blue!
2:42 - it's absolutely out of this world when the full studio comes together.
3:25 - that final "Recuerdame" is absolutely chilling and invokes the iconic Mama Coco scene (which will go down in the history of animation as one of the best ever).
3:30 - the expression of focus on Drew's face which tells you just how much they're controlling that final note.

What a gift this is. Voctave (and the genius of Jamey Ray) makes this world a whole lot more joyous to live in.

Hope some day I will have a chance to see you. Thank you all for this song. I lost my love this year and it is so hard to survive without him. I hope one day I will see him again.
