One of the primary differences is the camera hardware, with the Pro version of the Mate 30 sporting a quad-lens setup complete with 40MP SuperSensing Wide and Ultra-Wide Cine lenses. These can capture video at 4K 60FPS, with improved image stabilisation, slow motion action and other bonus features. The standard Mate 30 doesn't have most of those video features, yet photo capture remains much the same. You still get a 3x optical zoom, plus wide angle camera mode.

Both Huawei phones deliver next-gen performance with a Kirin 990 chipset, while the Mate 30 Pro wins on battery capacity. You also get that Horizon Display which looks beautiful, wrapping around the edges of the phone.

I'm impressed with the Mate 30 - bought the Mate 20 last year, and yet again, they've made a very enticing "entry" level phone underneath the "pro" model without stripping away too many features. I mean, it even has a headphone jack still from what I saw, plus smaller notch + flat screen (sure, the curved displays look gorgeous, but flat screens are just much more practical in general)

they are locking out features on the mate 30 base model like tesla does, and gpu and cpu makers do, both can do the same thing really, so to make one seem more premium they lock out features on the cheaper unit.

The iPhone 11 pro Max looked outdated compared to the s10 plus and Huawei p30 pro and now we have note 10 plus and mate 30 pro oh and it gets better apple won't realease another phone for a year😂
