SPLURGE or Save?

🗣️SOUND ON! Would you SAVE or SPLURGE on these benzoyl peroxide cleansers? Now the question of SHOULD you save or splurge boils down to a number of factors.

First, while an ingredient list will tell you what’s in a product, it can’t tell you the quality of the ingredients and where they’re sourced from.

A higher percentage doesn’t always mean higher price either. The PanOxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Cleanser is about $11.99.

Sometimes in the case of acne products with the same active ingredient, I personally tend to go for whatever is cheaper in price BUT in thus case I much preferred the experience I had with the Dr Zenovia 10% BP cleanser.

I’ve tried both and they both basically do the same thing for me BUT I much prefer the scent and feel of the Dr Z cleanser. The Inkey List 5% BP cleanser is alright but I couldn’t really stand the smell (but I do have a sensitive nose so you might not even care lol)

There’s this notion you should splurge on your skin—and I believe that’s true when it comes to being gentle, documenting changes, and being consistent with your routine—not necessarily that you have to buy expensive products to have a good routine.

Sometimes pricy products provide a certain experience for certain people. And if that means you’re more likely to use it consistently, go for it.

Just don’t think a bigger price tag is going to always mean better results.

I want to try a BP cleanser! Just curious does it make a difference if you have a cleanser over the spot treatment? Do they do the same thing? I have a stubborn blackhead blocking pus from getting out on my nose and I have been using the BP spot treatment along with other actives and its only reduce by a 1mm in 3 months 😢
