I use "let's hang out" cause I dont want to go out on typical dates at first. I literally want to hang out to vet the guy. And then if I like what is going down, I wanna do it a few more times before I'm comfortable to leave the comfort of a comfortable and private environment. Definitely needed this, I know this video may be 5 years old but it really is the best straight forward advice I can ever have thought of. Coming from a very social person overall with others, I lack only this one key point on communication with a person of interest I ever have.

That's always been my BIGGEST mistake as a teenager. If you see a girl as a potential suitor, you gotta let your intentions known right off the jump. I tried the route of befriending them of hoping that I would graduate from the "friendzone" and establish a relationship but that only works in movies. What I've also learned is that the girls that you want to get on an intimate level make for lousy friends anyway because aside from the sexual tension, the connection isn't deep at all. My true female friends are ones I actually I have a lot in common with and have fun with doing various hobbies.

In my perspective, the difference between dating and hanging out is with dating, you trying to get in her pants whether if it's intentional or not. With hanging out, the girl is just another one of the guys and will make for a great companion when you're taking over the entire park of Six Flags, but that's a story for another time. 😂

I had previously asked out my crush and she told me she doesn’t date. However, a few weeks later, we decided to go to the movies together. She bought the tickets and I bought the food. When we got there, we were talking about our personal lives. During the movie, we jokes around quietly a lot and smiled at each other a lot too. Near the end, I put my arm around her and she put her head on my shoulder. Before she left, we said we would do it again, but didn’t name a time or place.
