As an electrician, I've worked in construction and home service. And the most racist and xenophobic people I've met are in home service. Because if you work next to immigrants in construction long enough, you'll recognize they are workers just like you. If you constantly work around home owners, your detached from the production. I like construction. It reminds me what all goes into construction and all the different people who participate in the larger project.
