Unless you live in South Florida, nobody will really understand how much D-Wade is loved here. He's embraced like a son by basically everyone. It blows my mind it's already been 16yrs since he was drafted...I'm a die hard Knicks fan living in FL & he's been a major thorn in my side on the court (my Knicks suck I know, but even when we were good he would regularly torch us lol), but I could never find it in my heart to dislike the guy. He's done so much for charity, the stuff he did for the students of Douglas high school after the shooting last year was incredible. Amazing competitor, even better human being. Wishing him the absolute best in his next chapter of his life!
