Kaboom! The sound that engine will make 20 miles after the power train warranty expires.

Just traded a ‘19 for a ‘23 so I could have a newer Hemi to last me many more years.

Can’t beat an I6. Perfectly balanced, lots of torques, super realiable. Look at the old fords with the 300 i6 most are still on the road. BMW I6 are pulling over 300, 000 miles ( everything else fails, engines are solid lol) Cummins 5.9 and 6.7, super reliable, dodges old slant 6, super reliable, jeeps 4.0 i6 super reliable. I’ve been waiting years for one of the Big 3 to bring back an I6 with all the modern tech, RAM has done it. Now I just need to wait 20 years to be able to afford a used one lol

Great truck!! How about we stop buying new vehicles until they lower prices. New vehicle prices are out of control.

This engine seems very promising to me. Its difficult to let the hemi go but people had difficulty letting the 318 and 360 go. After a few mfg hiccups, I hope this thing will be great.

Wish it had port injection as well to keep the valves clean.

If RAM pokes one in a regular cab I'll continue to be a customer!

One of the biggest reasons people buy Ram trucks is for the Hemi. It’s a well proven, reliable workhorse of an engine. The Hurricane may be a good engine, but it will have to prove itself like the Hemi has. I’m not against innovation at all, but I wouldn’t touch one of these until they’ve been around for at least a couple of years, so there’s time to see if it’s going to be reliable.

Kudos to yall for doing something different love the inline 6.always make great power with boost.Just appease your regular crowd and put the v8 as an option in everything.

I6 is one of the best engine designs out there, the problem is that high specific output and turbocharging usually makes for a less reliable engine. Understressed, large displacement mills last longer with less maintenance, that's just a mechanical truth.
I'm sure it will be a great engine, I'm just not sure it will be a reliable one. But I have no qualms about the I6 architecture, I6s are great.

if it can last as long as a 5.7 im all for it

The HO engine will probably be available only in the top trims.

Basically a S58. The power bump is great, but if you are concerned about horsepower you might as well get an electric truck. You can’t make up for the rumble of the iconic hemi.

This is cool but I am concerned about the longevity of a turbo engine.

RAM Trucks .
Bring back the Legend.
Bring back the Hemi V8

The V8 is the best engine for a RAM . And no infladet 3l

My Suggestion
RAM 1500 = 6.4L V8 450 HP
RAM 2500/3500 = 6.2l compressor V8 530 HP
RAM TRX with 6.2 V8 750 HP

develop a new V8 to replace the old ones

3500
