Nogueira once said "to beat Fedor you have to kill him twice then turn him over."

It's difficult to tell which Fedor is more intimidating now, the self-doubting Christian who ruled in PrideFC or the openly Christian that can look at death in the eye and not be phased.

People use to say that Fedor was fearless machine that took people out without a flinch. But it wasn't true, you could see when his character fails him. When Mark Hunt hit him intentionally hit Fedor in the back of the head, Fedor got angry and overtly agressive. When Matt Linland cut him with an overhand right, you can see a sense of urgency to finish the fight quickly to prevent a loss in front of Vladimir Putin. When he fought CroCop, and was rocked by a straight, the replay showed Fedor in a panic state, he froze in place and took one of CroCops kick to the head and point blank range, luckily for Fedor the kick only grazed him yet still cut him open.

But this Fedor only has one fear and that is God. The way he fought without any fear in the Maldonado fight was incredible. After getting nearly knocked out he still pressed on. People commended Fedor's "heart of a fighter" but really it was just Fedor's faith that God would lead him to victory. This to me is the scariest Fedor. Just look at how sure he is in the interview, he doesn't need to remind himself that he will win or lose. He just there, in the moment, read to do God's will.

I have a feeling Mitrione is going to win... but I'm almost always wrong! I'm rooting for Fedor, either way and just hoping for the best.

I'd love to see some segments about Mitrione and the other fighters on the card as well. Would make these a little longer. Also liked Luke Thomas as the Narrator in the first one. For those who say this is a blatant copy of Embedded I can only say the UFC did not invent pre fight coverage and I'm always interested in geting some insight into the preparation of fighters no matter what organization they are fighting for.

They should have Fedor do another season of Fight Master, that would bring in good ratings compared to Joe Warren!

In terms of MMA, I am a little worried that Fedor got into a stage some time ago where he trully believes the decision in fights is really up to God and that he shouldnt really prepare too much to win strategically - he just heroically presses forward like a russian bogatyr (knight), throws everything he has and god will make him victorious if it should be that way. Thats questionably a troubling approach in 2017 when people think far harder about their strategy than they did in 2002.

Huh? What? how? It would be the equivalent of learning at the end of a movie that everything was just a dream. It is a cheap solution. I am certain the universe is so much deeper and special than this idea that a god just did it. We keep learning more and more, and the more we learn the more magical it becomes.
