Hyundai IONIQ electric | Fully Charged

Hard not to put this at the top of the list for new electric cars. An excellent machine, very sophisticated and cheaper than a 30kWh Nissan Leaf.

I have just bought this 28 kwh Ioniq (91, 400 miles on it) two weeks ago. It's absolutely fantastic. I can get a good 130 miles out of it with 25 to 30 left on the GOM. I am now going to sell my Nissan Leaf Tekna 30 kWh which I have done 121, 000 miles in it.

The Hyundai Ioniq Electric was found to be the most efficient electric car, so the mileage will definitely be very good.

Btw, the yellowish one next to the car you tested will be my next car some time in the next 4-6 months, although it will have left-hand drive because I'll be buying and driving it in Germany ;)

I love my old Ioniq and the way it coasts gliding through the wind like you describe so well.
I would like a newer EV able to pull a trailer and with more range but honestly I'm not sure it's worth the 2-3× the price of the Ioniq so I might just keep it and rent a van when I need it

It's super exciting to see new manufacturers and new electric models. Particularly when they make a good effort at pushing the envelope of electric cars. This definitely looks like a compelling vehicle.

Btw, can someone explain how regen breaking works in the sense that, if you turn it all the way up to stop at the lights (like you did) do you then have to reset manually? Or will the car reset regen breaking when you accelerate? Never having driven an electric car myself, am I correct to assume that the car does it automatically? Otherwise it would be like driving with the hand break on if you forget to reset it.

The lack of car owners having to be dependent on constant maintenance is why they would keep the initial cost up. Love your shows. This looks like a great car.

This car looks lovely.. Honestly, first ELECTRIC car in India that looks beautiful and is so much practical than its competitors like Mahindra. BUT unfortunately Hyundai is NOT launching the fully electric version in India but rather the hybrid version and that SUCKS!!!! Please Hyundai, I still dream to buy my first ever car and I desperately do not want it to be a fossil car. I feel I was so close to buying an electric car. I am sad.
