I spent a week with the new, 2023 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. This truck really won me over by week's end! I LOVE it. The seats are amazing, as is the suspension, steering, and overall capability -- all the while returning over 24 MPG! Nissan took their time with the new Frontier, but it turns out it was worth the wait. Thank you, Nissan!

Got rid of my tacoma and bought a 23 pro4x.. can't believe the difference .. so much better handling, fuel mileage, engine power, seat comfort, gauges and the offroad handling is much more predictable. No more gear hunting... 😊

Randomly got recommended to me but this truck is definitely what I was considering when I was shopping for one. I ended up getting a Tacoma for a great deal but this truck is so nice and always catches my eye when I see it on the road and the ride quality is so nice. If you’re seeing this and haven’t decided yet, definitely go with this truck you won’t be disappointed

I had a 2007 Nissan frontier 2x4 manual with over 150K. I traded it back in 2019 for the Tacona trdpro Voodoo Blue manual that I currently own and drive daily. The Nissan was more comfortable, but I still love my blue unicorn. 💙 Nissan makes great trucks

I'll have to agree, just picked up a 23, Cardinal Red Pro-4x. What sold it to me was the good old fashioned hydraulic assist power steering. Love that feel and will be great for off-roading.

Great review! I'm thinking about jumping off the Toyota Tacoma infatuation I've had. I've had 6 Tacomas and they are a great truck and so reliable. I literally have never had a problem with any of going to the turbo in my mind is going to be problems. I've had a Ford f 150 ecoboost twin turbo and and one of the turbos went to the farm with 60000 miles as well as the timing chain. So I learned my lesson about turbos and about Ford. LOL!
But this Frontier has really grabbed my attention. I just might be making the switch. Thanks for your review, it helps me lean just a little bit farther towards the Frontier. 😂

Multiple people have said Nissan seats are weirdly good.

Barely moving & exaggerated turning wheels —steering wheel is heavy, but you sync up & quit doing that. quiet in the cab✔️Plop your phone on the charging pad, sound system ✔️ front camera parking✔️. to your knees lower back protecting support✔️feels powerful✔️ metal oil pan guard✔️ full sized spare tire✔️ my only gripes are could use a few more driver assist features & rear view mirror is too dark for the Leer cap— double whammy & non locking gas cap. Vehicle design lines are a thing of absolute beauty. Makes Tacoma look like a plain Jane.

You might like the prox opposed to the 4x if you just want to daily drive & not go off road you might get an extra mile or 2 per gallon & they have aftermarket wedges you can put in the front bolts of the back seats that will lift the front of the rear seats up & give a better feel & extra inch or so foot room also consider people don't often buy midsized trucks based on backseat room as the full size & suv market dominates that market

Great truck. I'm a toyota guy....but nissan is close second. And when new tacoma comes out?? With no v6? Everyone will go to nissan.
Just wish sentra, altima, rogue, murano had 9 speed automatics

I love that sand color. The lights in and out look like they have a yellow hue on video but I know they are really white leds in person

Great review. I just bought a pro4x with technology, convience, and Fender upgrade.. Unfortunately leather is non-existent in NY. Are the cloth seats 0 gravity too?

I have a 22’ pro-X in Cardinal Red, added a MBRP cat-back exhaust, leveling kit, 3” lift & added a locker to the rear diff. It’s perfectly capable of most off roading people would do 👍

For Southern Buyers No rear seat A/C and no ventilated seats, BUT strong V6 with good exterior looks

I have a ‘23 P4X. Android auto is not wireless, and ‘23 added auto stop/start which the ‘22 didn’t have. Apple CarPlay is wireless as well.

Crawl ratio 60:1 fully boxed frame Dana 44 locking rear (pro 4X) Dana front diff, Spicer transfer case, powerful VQ engine, rear disc brakes, bullet proof made in the good ol' USA. Tacoma=33:1 crawl ratio, C frame (with on going frame recalls due to corrosion) rear drum brakes, now made in Mexico, reliability declining and Toyota tax.
