I had issues with T moble when my wife, my daughter, and I went to Mexico. I had the magenta plan and let them know that we were going to Mexico, and they said that I would be fine with the plan and had terrible service. My daughter had AT&T and was able to FaceTime and everything. Puerto Vallarta is where we went. Now I am with AT&T.

I think it’s worth mentioning that GoogleFi is not iPhone friendly.

For extended stays, it is still better to get another Sim while in country

I travel travel internationally a few months a year and have AT&T and I love the international day pass. As soon as I land my phone automatically connects and I can do whatever I want. Occasionally I have issues with a slow down and will just select a different carrier since AT&T is using other carriers and it clears up any slowdowns.

Tmobile and Fi is best for travel. I was in EU for two weeks trekking with Tmobile roaming on magenta max plan with no upcharge highly recommended

I have used T-Mobile all throughout Mexico and in Lima Peru and even Machu Pichu and service was great

Google Fi is great. I've been using it in SE Asia since December. Zero issues or problems. Seamless! Downside is they will suspend your data for some reason if you spend too much time internationally roaming? This is strange because other companies like Airalo sell data internationally for even less than the Google Fi cost?

I have tmobile Magenta Max in many countries while traveling and had pretty good results. Germany, France, Turkey, Greece, Sweden, England, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar. The only place we had any issues was in Lima Peru. I was checking about how it is in Japan as we are planning a trip next summer.

At&T hands down best customer service that's why Am still with them. Problem is they don't have international data. And lot of people don't travel latin America. Add ons are expensive. I would of gone to google Fi if plan was $50 instead of $65 ...

also forgot to say in the video that google fi calls are like if you're inside a damn barrel.. obviously the shill on googlefi is high in this video, if you are going to any of the lating america countries included in at&t thats hands down the best option you can get.. if you're heading elsewhere then a local simcard would be best

I had google fi for several years and it sucked. As in it did not work. I was constantly taking the sim card in and out to try to reset it. It would work for a day. Then it would fail. I finally called a code and switched.

What would you recommend for people who live in three countries? Like me for example. I live 4 months us 4 months in Argentina and 4 months in Spain the problem is whenever I need to get to my banks or something in the us, I need to pay this phone number extra money to get text msgs or calls. But I would need something even longer than 3 months

There is an issue with Google Fi, it is that you can't use the data more than 90 days in a row. You need to come back to the US for at least a week and then you can use it again, it is a huge deal breaker for traveller that don't come back in the US every 90 days, if they are getting rid of this deal breaker then Google Fi is THE #1

Doesn't Google Fi shut you down after exceeding 90 days abroad?

I have what is, for me, the best and most economical trifecta. I have T-Mobile One Plan Unlimited 55 (for us older folks) that is 35 per line when you have 2 lines. It includes Simple Global for my travels. When I travel abroad I also get an Airalo esim for faster data. Then I also take advantage of my MagicJack VOIP service that I have used as my home number for years. With the MagicApp on my cell, I can make calls back to the US and receive calls from my home phone number for no charge on my cell. The best! I stopped buying foreign SIM cards a while ago.

A year ago people on YouTube said Google fi will cut your phone service if you are out of the country for like 6 months or more. Are they still doing this? I hear T-Mobile will not cut anyone if you are away from USA for any amount of time.
