Spider-Man Remastered PC lag issue fix!

If you have the new Spider-Man Remastered game on PC and are experiencing lag issues or really bad frame rates, I have the fix. What worked for me was grabbing a PS4 controller and connecting it to my PC via Bluetooth. As soon as I went back into the game, all the lag issues that I was experiencing with the Xbox controller and keyboard and mouse disappeared. It's like playing the game on a Playstation.

The first controller I tried was an Xbox 360 wired controller. I tried changing all the settings in the game to lower everything to the minimum and it still lagged to the point where the game was unplayable. Then I tried another wired controller, same issue. I unplugged the Xbox controllers and tried to just use the Keyboard and Mouse. Same issue. The lag was so frustrating and annoying especially since I'm so used to playing Spider-Man on the PS4 which I experienced absolutely no issues.

The other thing that was frustrating with the fact that my PC definitely has the specs to handle a PS4 or PS5 ported game. I'm rocking an RTX 3070 GPU with 32 gb of DDR4 low latency ram with an AMD 3950x processor. The PC dwarfs the PS4 yet when I loaded up Spider-Man Remastered, it would lag like crazy. Even in the menu screen where Spider-man is just standing there breathing it still seemed to lag. I was really getting upset because the game costs a lot of money and I certainly have the hardware to run it, but the darn game was lagging like crazy.

So as a recap, DO NOT use an Xbox 360, Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S controller to try to play Spider-Man Remastered if you're experiencing lag issues. Also, avoid the Keyboard and Mouse as well. The Fix is really simple. Grab a Play Station 4 or 5 controller, connect it to your PC via the Bluetooth connection and load up Spider-Man Remastered.

It doesn't matter if you bough Spider-Man Remastered on Steam or the Epic Games store, it's the same version of the game. Also, I do expect the issues with the Xbox controllers to eventually get fixed in an upcoming patch, but it doesn't help the issue that millions of players are experiencing today. I just happened to stumble across this Spiderman remastered lag issue fix because I didn't want to give up. I love this game so much and couldn't wait to play it in all it's glory on my PC. Finding a solve for Spider-Man Remastered issue with lag was something I was going to figure out no matter what.

If you're having the same laggy issue with the new release of the Spiderman game on PC, you don't have to wait for a patch. Just use a PlayStation controller via bluetooth and all the lag issues will magically go away. It'll feel just like you're playing it on a Play Station, but instead you'll have all the great flexibility and options that you get with PC versions of games. I wish that Sony would release a note about how to fix the lagging issues with Spider-man Remastered, but I guess we'll have to wait. Maybe they know that a lot of players use 3rd party controllers, after market controller, or Xbox controller variations and didn't want PC players thinking that they only way they'll get a good experience with the game is to connect a PS4 controller. Or worse, make them go out an buy a PS4 or PS5 controller after already spending $59.99 on the PC version of the game.
