The phrase "ahead of their time" gets thrown about a little too loosely at it 100% applies to Bastien. His ability and trick selection really was like looking 10-15 years into the future. Even now those Flip parts have tricks in them that would be enders for parts today.

Roger, I will ALWAYS love that you put the microphone in front of the monitor so it looks like the Stop and Chat guests are actually there. I chuckle at least once every episode. 😃😅 🎙️

So sick. Thank you so much. I am 36. I started skating when Bastien was 12 or 13, so I was almost the same age. I remember looking at him in the magazines and thinking "Hey! teenagers can nail it too!". To me, Bastien was the first super talented kid in skateboarding. He led the way for so many young dudes like me, showing them you didn't have to be an adult (or let's say over 16-17) to make crazy things on a board. Take car bro!

I'l never forget, chillin'with Bastien talking to him. He gave me his spliff and like 10 mins later he pulled out a full cab flip and, ya before I could say high, he was crowned the street skateboarding champion in Dortmund, Germany 2004, World Cup yo!!! Amazing human being man, world champion!! Much love and respect Salabanzi!!!

Bastien, Reynolds, Cole, and Rowley are among the greatest to ever step on a board. All of their interviews on this show you can just tell how dialed into skating they still are after all of these years. They can provide insight and analysis unlike anyone else. It’s awesome to be able to listen to. They’re the type of athletes who probably would’ve been among the best regardless of what they chose to do. Fortunately they found skating

And that.. my friends.. is a perfect episode from start to finish. Flawless.. Bastien PRod and PJ Ladd were my 3 hugest inspirations when I was a kid. It's why I skated as much as I did. Bastien is the most humble realest skater and love that he himself is such a fan of skating. Love that shit

One of my favorite skate vids growing up my friends and I used to watch the vid every day before we skated. I was definately inspired to do so many tricks by Bastien Salabanzi and now after watching this interview and seeing how chill he is in person adds a whole new level.

Their are a select few people who have a charisma or something intangible that draws you to them and THEY make you feel better about YOU. I'm not even involved in this conversation, but Bastien did that for me.

It’s so crazy to think that when I was watching Bastien in Sorry as a kid that he was the same age as me. I never realised it at the time. It’s insane that he was so good at such a young age.

I just wanna see bastien regularly putting out clips/parts, hes one of greatest, no big tricks necessarily, some speedy lines like in his sorry part, banks, transition whatever 🔥
